Christopher Radko The First Decade. Set of 9 Ball Ornaments. Produced in Poland in 2009. RARE This stunningly beautiful set of nine ball ornaments was produced in Poland in 2009. The designs are all traditional folk decorations that were in common usage in Poland during the 1940s and through the 1970s. Christopher Radko introduced them to the United States in the 1980s and 1990s. He gave them the names “Scarlet’s Wedding Dress” (Crimson), “Holiday Sparkle”, “Deep Sea”, “Russian Jewel Hearts”, “Mission Ball”, “Baroque Tapestry”, “Harlequin”, “Circle of Santas” and “Lucy’s Favorite”. The ornaments were extremely popular and remain sought after and highly collectible. The same Polish workshop that produced those ornaments, and in fact the first decade of Radko ornaments, also produced this gorgeous set of nine ball ornaments. Each one was mouth-blown and hand-decorated in Poland by skilled artisans. Only the best lacquer and glitter was used in the decoration of these ornaments. Each piece measures 2 3/4 tall. This set of 9 ornaments is new, has never been displayed and comes in individual boxes.
