James Hook was pirate captain of the brig Jolly Roger and the main villain and principal antagonist in the story Peter Pan. He and his fellow pirates had many adventures together with Peter Pan during the course of the tale. Captain Hook was pursued throughout the story by the crocodile who ate one of his hands after it was severed by Peter Pan. The metal hook he wears in its place led to his name.
